Omron SoftTouch TENS Pulse Massager - How Does It Work:
TENS principle (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation). TENS is the electrical stimulation through the skin via surface electrodes to stimulate nerve fibres, primarily for pain relief.
Relieve at the touch of a button. TENS is a highly advanced technology to be used for physiotherapeutic and domestic treatment. Mild electrical pulses revitalize and refresh those areas where the electronic pads are applied to the body. Stress, tiredness and muscle ache can be treated perfectly. The treatment alleviates muscle and nerve pains through gentle stimulation. For active people it provides massaging experience, which has a very beneficial effect on muscle pain or aches and shoulder or neck stiffness. It is excellent for soothing overall bodily fatigue and improves the blood circulation in the treated areas.
Muscles contract and relax with the flow of the low-frequency current. When the muscle relaxes, a large amount of blood flows in, and when the muscle contracts, the blood containing wastes is pumped out. With repeated actions, the blood flows smoother and the blood circulation is improved. Shutting out pain signal
When low-frequency current flows to the region experiencing pain, it acts on the transmission mechanism of pain. Thus low-frequency current is said to reduce the transmission of pain to the brain.
"Quick Relief" function - High frequency stimulation is effective for acute (nerve) pain and is said to be especially useful in the immediate blockage of pain transmission compared to low-frequency stimulation.
In order to avoid excessive treatment, this model is made to turn off the power automatically after 15 minutes.
